Slayer announces new drummer and it ain’t no Dave.

That’s right my folks, Slayer have announced who will step up to fill-in as drummer in the long-term from this day onwards. And it ain’t no Dave Lombardo.

The dude is no stranger to us either, the dude itself is Paul Bostaph (former Testament, Forbidden and Exodus), who has worked previously with Slayer from 1992 and until 2001, recording with them 4 albums (Divine Intervention (1994), Undisputed (1996), Diabolus in Musica, (1998) and God Hates us All (2001)

They have to move on. They will tour Europe, Eastern Europe and South America, and thus, they have to move on and keep on doing what they do. At whatever cost, they have to keep playing.

Well, it certainly is a shame the situation Slayer’s members find themselves in these past few months, losing a very important part -who wasn’t a part of the band at the moment he passed away- and now replacing Dave, once again, whom fans credit and recognize as the one and only drummer Slayer should and must have.

Whatever the ending results turns out to be, I really wish success for everyone, for Tom and Kerry as part of Slayer a band I’ll forever love, who now have joined forces once again with Paul. For Dave in whatever he does in the future. And for Jeff, who’s resting in peace now.

You can read the whole story, an entry written in their official Facebook page HERE.
